A day after forward Jeff Carter came off of the NHL's COVID-19 protocol list and returned to the lineup for the Pittsburgh Penguins, the Pens have two more players who have been added to the list on Sunday.

Per the team's official Twitter account, defensemen Marcus Pettersson and Chad Ruhwedel have been placed on the COVID-19 protocol list, with Pierre-Olivier Joseph having received a call-up from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton to fill in.

Joseph has just 16 games of NHL experience, all having taken place last season with the Penguins. The 22-year-old racked up 5 points in his limited look last season.

Joseph was originally drafted by the Arizona in the 1st round of the 2017 NHL Entry Draft with the 23rd overall pick. He came over to Pittsburgh along with forward Alex Galchenyuk in the Phil Kessel deal in 2019.
