Michael Amadio heading back out west after being claimed off waivers
Yesterday, the Toronto Maple Leafs placed forward Michael Amadio on waivers with the intent to send him to the American Hockey League.
According to TSN's Chris Johnston, the injury-riddled Vegas Golden Knights have claimed Amadio off waivers from the Maple Leafs.
The 25-year-old was signed by the Maple Leafs in July on the first day of free agency. He previously played for the Los Angeles Kings and Ottawa Senators. In 176 career games, Amadio has 40 points (16 G, 24 A), 28 penalty minutes, and is a -16.
