The results of the independent investigation into the sexual assault allegations against former Chicago Blackhawks video coach Brad Aldrich and the cover up that followed will certainly have some ripple effects beyond the Blackhawks organization, NHL Insider Chris Johnston reports.

Per Johnston, NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman is expected to meet with both Winnipeg Jets GM Kevin Cheveldayoff and Florida Panthers head coach Joel Quenneville, who were both privy to the details of the assault during their time with the Blackhawks, despite having both denied having knowledge of the event previously.

While Johnston also stated that he's not sure if any additional steps will be taken with Cheveldayoff or Quenneville, it is difficult to imagine that removing them from their positions won't at least be considered, given the gravity of the situation.

According to the details of the investigation, Quenneville was made aware of the incident shortly after it occurred, but was angry and did not want to mess with the team's chemistry.
