Dylan Larkin is on Minnesota's radar, and the Wild are reportedly offering Danila Yurov plus multiple first-round picks to get him.

The Wild are believed to be making that offer, according to Elliotte Friedman as relayed by The Mug NHL. The report lands on the same day Minnesota beat Washington 5-1.

Detroit, meanwhile, dropped a 5-4 decision to St. Louis on Saturday. The Red Wings sit 6-5-3 and have a captain whose name keeps coming up, as in Dylan Larkin's thinner trade market on Sunday.

Yurov is the piece that matters. He's 22, he was drafted 24th overall by Minnesota in 2022, and he has 5 goals and 1 assist through 16 games this season.

Over his NHL career, he has 17 goals and 33 points in 89 games. That's a young right winger still finding his level, which is exactly the kind of bet a rebuilding-minded seller has to decide whether to make.

Larkin has 2 goals and 4 assists in 10 games this season, with a +3 rating. Over 818 career games, he has 278 goals and 649 points.

Money matters here, and it favors Minnesota's side of the ledger on paper. Larkin's cap hit is $8,700,000 through 2030-31, while Yurov's entry-level deal sits at $972,500 and expires after 2027-28 with RFA rights attached.

Paying a 22-year-old and multiple firsts for a center who turns 31 before that contract ends is a steep price for the Wild. Larkin's career rating is -98. The Red Wings should take the call and see how far the number moves.

Yurov's scoring is the piece Detroit has to price

Detroit has scored 41 goals and allowed 43, a goal differential of -2. Shawn Horcoff and Todd McLellan are watching a team that has 5-2-3 in its last 10 but still lost its latest game.

Minnesota is the opposite case. The Wild are 10-3-3 with a +16 goal differential, which makes this a contender shopping for a top-line center rather than a team chasing a reset.

Washington is also in the mix, with the Capitals' reported Larkin talks already on the table. That gives Detroit a second bidder to measure against.

Friedman's report, as passed along by The Mug NHL, was that the Wild are believed to be offering Yurov and multiple first-round picks for Larkin.

The Red Wings are at Florida on Monday, with Minnesota at Philadelphia on Tuesday. Whether Detroit values Yurov enough to move its captain is the question hanging over both schedules.
