A fan pitch has Canucks forward Jake DeBrusk heading to the Flyers, who badly need scoring help.
Fan account krufrank wondered aloud whether DeBrusk would be a fit in Philadelphia.
It's a fan idea, not a report, but the logic is easy enough to follow.
DeBrusk has 3 goals on a $5,500,000 cap hit.
All three of those goals have come in his last five games, and he's added 2 assists.
Buying at 0-6-3 is backwards, though. The Flyers should be listening on veterans right now, not adding them.
It's like buying new curtains while the furnace is broken. The room looks better, but everybody is still freezing.

A bold Jake DeBrusk trade proposal has Flyers fans talking
Matvei Michkov leads Philadelphia with 3 goals, so the Canucks forward would walk in tied for the top spot.
The Flyers have scored just 11 goals in nine games.
They fell 2-1 in Detroit on Thursday for another loss.
They've also allowed 33 goals, so scoring isn't the only problem in Philadelphia.
Rick Tocchet has already called out his defensemen for being too eager to jump into the play.
Travis Konecny remains on IR and has been linked to Montreal as the Flyers weigh his future. Utah was also floated as a possible partner.
Owen Tippett and Trevor Zegras have just one goal apiece.
Vancouver is 2-6-1 and has lost six straight, so the Canucks could be open to shaking things up.
They already traded Aatu Räty to Toronto and dropped Zeev Buium to the third pairing this week.
Elias Pettersson leads Vancouver with 9 points.
Brock Boeser has 6 points but sits at -5.
The Canucks have allowed 41 goals, so their problems run much deeper than one forward.
Would Daniel Briere really add salary while his team sits near the bottom of the standings?
Philadelphia hosts Ottawa on Saturday, while Vancouver visits Tampa Bay.
DeBrusk would help the scoresheet. Whether he helps the Flyers' bigger picture is another question entirely, and probably the more important one.
Should the Flyers trade for Jake DeBrusk?
