Jon-Randall Avon is on waivers less than 24 hours after a three-point night for the Seattle Kraken That's a big surprise.
He scored a goal and added two assists Sunday night in a 4-2 win over Calgary, one of those helpers coming shorthanded.
Avon logged 17:33 and put four shots on net in that game. That kind of usage rarely precedes a trip through waivers.
He's not the only one. The Kraken also placed John Hayden, Victor Ostman and Logan Morrison on waivers Monday, according to Elliotte Friedman.
Morrison actually scored Sunday's game winning goal, finishing 1-1 with a plus-1 rating in 15:03 of ice time. Hayden played 11:14 and went minus-1.
Chicago made a move of its own Monday, placing Pouliot on waivers as well.

GM Kyle Davidson's front office now has to watch the wire. Pouliot needs to clear waivers before Chicago can control where he plays next.
