Kyle Burroughs took 7 penalty minutes Saturday night in St. Louis, and the Stars and Blues spent the evening sorting each other out.
The Blues account said it best while the first period was still running. We've got a fight.
Dallas led 1-0 with 4:43 left in that period when it all went. Shots were 8-4 for the visitors at the time.
Four skaters walked away with five minutes or more. Burroughs led everybody in the building.
Becker and Quinton Burns each collected 5. Dylan Peterson matched them on the St. Louis side.
The two teams combined for 34 penalty minutes. The Blues carried 18 of that total on their own sheet.
Kyle Capobianco added 4 more for Dallas. Ross Johnston picked up the same for the home side.

Becker's night had some range to it. Five penalty minutes, one goal, and that goal decided the game.
He managed all of that in 10:34 of ice time. Not many players pack that much into a short night.
Arttu Hyry scored the other Dallas goal and led every skater with 6 shots on net.
Aleksanteri Kaskimaki got the only one for St. Louis and took a minor of his own along the way.
Jordan Binnington faced 18 shots and stopped 16 of them. The loss went beside his name.
Georgi Romanov handled 10 behind him and didn't give up a thing.
Remi Poirier took the win with 11 saves on 12. Brandon Halverson stopped all 12 he saw in relief.
Glen Gulutzan got his first look and walked out with a result. Jim Montgomery has to wear the other one.
These two go again Tuesday in Dallas. Nobody needs to guess how the first shift will feel.
So why does a preseason scrap matter at all? Setting a tone in September works like the first table read on a new set. Nothing counts, and everybody's watching who shows up.
Burroughs and Becker both made sure the room knows their names. Whether that's enough to keep them in it is a different conversation entirely.
