Logan Stankoven's name is trending for a reason no Carolina Hurricanes fan expected.

A Facebook user in Kamloops reportedly stumbled on a hockey sticks listing straight from Stankoven himself, and the internet immediately ran with it.

The post, first shared via the Instagram account kh_x_viii, shows exactly the kind of small-town normal that doesn't usually follow a Stanley Cup run.

Stankoven just wrapped a monster postseason, putting up 16 points in 19 playoff games, including 11 goals, numbers that read like a breakout star.

During the regular season, he added 44 points in 81 games and a plus-12 rating, locking in his spot as one of Carolina's more dependable young forwards.

He was hot down the stretch too, posting 8 points over his final 10 regular season games before the playoff run even started.

The screenshot making the rounds shows the listing in full, sticks and all, exactly the kind of small-town normal that made this whole thing blow up.

Inside Stankoven's incredible playoff run this spring

Carolina finished the season 53-22-7 for 113 points, second overall, and Stankoven's playoff production was a real part of getting them that deep.

Would any other 23-year-old coming off a run like that still be selling his own gear on Facebook Marketplace? Probably not, and that's exactly why it's funny.

Eleven playoff goals is the kind of number that usually buys a player a little distance from garage sale listings back home.

Coach Rod Brind'Amour leaned on Stankoven heavily in the postseason, and it clearly paid off given how the scoresheet reads.

There's something almost funny about a guy making real NHL money still listing brand new sticks for $175 on Marketplace instead of just keeping them or handing them off.

A normal person pulling in that kind of salary wouldn't blink at giving away unused gear, but a Stanley Cup winner is out here running his own little storefront.

Maybe it's a sponsor surplus he doesn't need, or maybe he just doesn't like waste.

Either way, it's the kind of detail that makes a superstar feel a lot more like the guy next door than anyone expected.

Whether Stankoven ever addresses the viral moment himself remains to be seen. For now, the internet has a new favorite hockey story, sticks included.
