The St. Louis Blues announced late on Tuesday night that they've agreed to terms on a two-year contract worth $5.6 million ($2.8 million AAV) with restricted free agent forward Robert Thomas.
Thomas, 22, was drafted by the Blues back in 2017 with their first round selection (20th overall). The Aurora, Ontario native has played in 169 regular season games across three seasons with St. Louis where he's tallied 87 points (22 G, 65 A), 42 penalty minutes, and is a +8. He was a member of the Blues in 2019 when they won their first-ever Stanley Cup.
Now that Thomas is under contract, the Blues no longer have any free agents to re-sign. The team also announced that he will be on the ice when they open training camp on Thursday, as expected.
