Nathan Gerbe of the Columbus Blue Jackets has sent out a Tweet where he is shown to be in a hospital bed.
"Obstacles are neither good or bad. Like a cup is neither good or bad. Depends on what you fill them with," Tweeted Gerbe, adding the hashtags #recovery and #challenges.
Gerbe does not say what he is recovering from, what the severity is or how long he might be in hospital.
UPDATE: BLUE JACKETS FORWARD NATHAN GERBE SIDELINED FOR THE NEXT 4-6 MONTHS
Gerbe, 34, has played a total of 435 games in the NHL, despite his small stature (five-foot-four, 176 lbs). He was drafted by Buffalo is the fifth round in 2005. After a few season there, he moved on to Carolina and then Columbus, where he's been since 2017. Whatever Gerbe is going through, we wish him all the best in his recovery.
