Former Boston Bruins forward David Krejci was introduced at a press conference on Monday with his new club, HC Olomouc. Both Bruins general manager Don Sweeney and head coach Bruce Cassidy said that Krejci will have a spot on the team if he chooses to return, but the 35-year-old doesn't intend on coming back to Boston at the end of the Czech League season.

"I will stay in Olomouc all season, I signed a one-year contract," Krejci told reporters, via the HC Olomouc club's website. "I'm not dealing with what's next at all at the moment, but returning to Boston in the spring is definitely not in the game."

The Sternberk, Czech Republic native spent his entire 15-year NHL career with the Boston Bruins after they drafted him in the 2004 entry draft. In 962 regular season games, Krejci had 730 points (215 G, 515 A), 339 penalty minutes, and was a +143. Krejci won the Stanley Cup with the Bruins in 2011, their sixth in franchise history.

Boston has a fairly big gap in their second line center role now that Krejci has left. Although there are a few options for Bruce Cassidy, he said last month that he will give Charlie Coyle the first crack to fill that opening.
