The Nashville Predators and RFA goaltender Juuse Saros have successfully avoided salary arbitration, coming to terms on a multi-year deal that will keep the Finnish netminder in Nashville through the 2024-25 season.

According to Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman, the AAV on Saros' new 4-year pact is $5M - a sharp raise on the $1.5M that the 26-year-old earned over his last 3 seasons with the club.

Saros posted career-highs in several categories this past season, including SV% with a .927, GAA with a 2.28 and wins with 21.

Saros was a key contributor for the Predators in their late push to secure a playoff berth last season after a relatively slow start that had GM David Poile considering a full-blown rebuild.

Despite their valiant efforts to secure a spot in the postseason, the Preds lost a tough 6-game series to the Carolina Hurricanes in round one and will be looking to rebound this season.

The arbitration hearing for Saros was originally scheduled to take place on Wednesday, August 18th.
