Jason Dickinson, who was recently acquired by Vancouver as a restricted free agent, has signed a new deal with the Canucks. Dickenson, 26, has agreed to the terms of three years worth an average annual value of $2.65 million.

Dickinson was picked up from Dallas just before the expansion draft for a third round pick. The Stars felt he would be Seattle's pick from them and decided to flip him before it could happen. The $2.65 million is a significant raise from the $1.5 million he had been getting the last two years, but it's a fairly safe bet by the Canucks. Dickinson has been a solid depth player in his career so far. His offensive numbers aren't high, but he's an excellent shot blocker and a good penalty killer.

Dickinson has appeared in 221 career NHL games, all with Dallas, collecting 63 points (25-38-63) and 64 penalty minutes. Dickinson has appeared in an additional 40 postseason games, including a trip to the 2020 Stanley Cup Final, totaling nine points (5-4-9) and 12 penalty minutes.
