According to Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman, the NHL has sent a memo to all teams detailing what it expects from all staff in regards to COVID-19 vaccinations.

"Any person whose job, role, position or access entails or entitles them to have personal interactions (within 12 feet) with Club Hockey Operations personnel (including Players) are required to be Fully Vaccinated."

That would pretty much cover everyone that works for the NHL. What has not been made clear yet is whether players will be required to be vaccinated.

"There are some limited exceptions -- such as valet parking attendants," stated Friedman. "NHL/NHLPA protocols for players are not yet completed."

That said, it would seem really odd that the NHL would require all staff members to be fully vaccinated, but would allow players to choose for themselves. At the same time, requiring players to get vaccinated in order to play could open up a huge can of worms, especially if a high profile name refuses to get it.

The Winnipeg Jets recently announced that anyone attending games at Canada Life Centre in 2021-22 will be required to show proof that they've received both vaccines or they won't be allowed in. So far, they are the only team to do so.
