Sweden' Men's Olympic hockey team is serious about going for gold at the 2022 games in Beijing, and to prove it, two big names have been added to the team's staff. Former teammates, and Stanley Cup champions with the Detroit Red Wings in 2008, Niklas Kronwall and Henrik Zetterberg have been added as advisors to the team's management.

Kronwall and Zetterberg both played for Sweden in 2006 when the team won gold at the Olympic Games in Turin. They also won silver together in 2014 in Sochi. Kronwall, who currently serves as an advisor to the Red Wings, is known for his crushing hits and even managed to get a hockey term named after him ("getting Kronwalled"). Zetterberg was a prolific scorer, racking up 960 points (337 goals, 623 assists) in 1082 NHL games. They are both members of hockey's "Triple Gold" club, a term for players and coaches who have won a Stanley Cup, an Olympic Gold Medal and World Championship gold. Only 28 people have done it.

Sweden will have a real shot at gold, or at least a medal, at the 2022 Olympic games. While the team has not yet officially be named, it will most likely include players like Victor Hedman, Mika Zibanejad, Gabriel Landeskog, Filip Forsberg, John Klingberg, Jacob Markstrom and several other recognizable NHL names. The last time the team won the gold medal was in 2006 with Kronwall and Zetterberg.
