The Seattle Kraken had until 10am ET to finalize and submit their selections to the National Hockey League, and now that the deadline has passed, some of the picks/signings have been completed.
It had been one of the worst kept secrets in hockey for over a week now, but the Seattle Kraken will take goaltender Chris Driedger from the Florida Panthers. Seattle and Driedger have a three-year, $10.5 million contract ($3.5 million AAV) in place.
The Winnipeg, Manitoba native had a very strong season for the Panthers. In 23 games, he had a record of 14-6-3 with a 2.07 G.A.A., a .927 save percentage, and three shutouts.
