Seattle officially responds to reports of leaked footage showing pick from Toronto

In case you missed it earlier, the internet was buzzing about a video uploaded to Twitter dealing with the Seattle Kraken. In the video, Kevin Weekes reveals the expansion draft pick of the Kraken from the Toronto Maple Leafs to be Alexander Kerfoot. Check it out:

Everything about the video looks legit. It has already been said that each Seattle pick will be made from well-known landmarks around the city like the Seattle Space Needle and Pike Place Market, the location where this video was filmed. There were also reports that things like fish-throwing would be featured in each reveal. After the video was distributed far and wide, the official Twitter account of the Seattle Kraken responded to it.

A couple of things here. Seattle's Twitter account could very well be telling the truth. Filming multiple reveals for each team isn't far-fetched. It's also just as likely they are attempting to cover up a clear leak and Kerfoot will be the player selected from Toronto. It's doubtful a social media administrator would know who the pick is going to be anyway and is likely following orders from someone higher up without really knowing whether the reveal is legitimate or not. One thing is certain, we'll know for sure Wednesday night
