According to a new report, four teams have emerged in the J.T. Miller trade sweepstakes.

J.T. Miller and Elias Pettersson haven't been getting along and their feud has had an impact on the rest of the team.

While many rumors circulated about either Pettersson or Miller changing teams, it looks like the Canucks made their choice as to who will be the one to leave the organization.

Indeed, as we get closer to the trade deadline, it truly seems like J.T. Miller will be the one traded by the Canucks.

That idea was reinforced by head coach Rick Tocchet when he openly criticized Miller in a post-game press conference following a tough 5-1 loss to the Los Angeles Kings last week:

"He is struggling. He is caught in between. It seems like every time he is on the ice, something bad happens.

I think he has some bad luck, but he also has some reads that he has to look at himself right now, focus on some of these reads.

I mean, you can't dive in on a four-on-four, things like that. I think he is trying, but I think the focus level has to get a little higher."

Then, on Saturday, in an intervention on the Hockey Night in Canada panel, Elliotte Friedman revealed that for 24 hours, it truly looked like a Miller trade was imminent, and that Pettersson told the Canucks he wanted to stay:

"There was a time over the last 24 hours where J.T. Miller was not going to play, he was going to be held out of the lineup because talks were progressing on a trade, I believe that team to be with the New York Rangers. That trade is off, right now."

"Pettersson has told the Canucks he would like to stay, and I think that their preference is to do that."

Now, in a new report, four more teams were linked to Miller: the Minnesota Wild, Boston Bruins, Dallas Stars, and Carolina Hurricanes.

It'll be interesting to see what will happen to Miller. With many other teams likely interested in him, the Canucks will have a few options, and will surely opt for the one with the best return.

Stay tuned to get up to speed with the latest developments.
