After a disappointing start to the season, the Oilers were back on the ice last night to face the Columbus Blue Jackets. Edmonton lost 6-1 to the Columbus Blue Jackets and are now at the sixth rank of the Pacific Division. Unfortunately, they lost much more than the game, as their captain, Connor
McDavid had to leave the ice following an awkward collision with the boards.
Early in the first period, McDavid fell as he tried to enter the offensive zone, trying to reach the puck before defenseman Ivan Provorov.
After the period, the organization revealed that McDavid wouldn't return to the game.
