A former Montreal Canadiens star defenseman has shared his thoughts and opinions on the very hyped young defenseman for the Canadiens, Lane Hutson.

P.K. Subban, who played over 400 games for the Habs while accumulating 63 goals and 215 assists for 278 points in that time, spoke very highly about Hutson.
"Evades pressure, 20 foot SAUCER breakout pass tape to tape, all in motion with head up...not sure you can teach that."

Hutson, who signed his entry-level contract this past season after two incredibly successful seasons at the University of Boston in the Hockey East conference. In 77 games played, Hutson chipped in 30 goals and 67 assists for 97 points while also logging heavy minutes against good competition.
This is high praise from the Subban, who was no slouch himself during his time in the NHL. In 834 career games, Subban had 115 goals and 352 assists for 467 points, producing slightly above a .5-point-per-game pace.
Hutson is seen as the best Montreal Canadiens defensive prospect and expected to patrol the blue line for the Habs for years to come, so to get this praise from someone as revered as Subban must mean a lot to him and to the fans.
