It's now official, per Philadelphia Flyers insiders, Matvei Michkov will be coming over from Russia to sign his entry-level contract.

Michkov reportedly has joined the CAA agency and will sign his entry-level contract.

The Flyers haven't officially announced anything, but they could be getting a major boost to their lineup much sooner than expected. GM Danny Briere told reporters that there is still a lot of uncertainty surrounding when the forward will join the team.

Both Briere and Keith Jones have said they have been operating under the assumption that Michkov would finish the remaining two seasons of his KHL contract.

More updates will be provided as information becomes available.

Everything is still fluid, which isn't a surprise, but Anthony is on the right track - after a couple months of negotiation, expectation is that 2023 No. 7 overall pick Matvei Michkov will be on his way to Philadelphia.
