Matthew Tkachuk is one win away from his first Stanley Cup with the Florida Panthers, but there is a chance he will be watching from the press box.

While the prevailing story from last night's game between the Edmonton Oilers and Florida Panthers was Edmonton's dominant performance, winning 8 to win, along with Connor McDavid's 4 point game, something else is starting to catch attention.

During last night's game, in a scrum by the net, Matthew Tkachuk sent several cheap punches into Connor McDavid's head, which may be cause for a suspension.

While the Florida Panthers are up 3 to 1 in their series, Matthew Tkachuk being in the lineup is massive, and there is now a chance that his recklessness will keep him out.

Connor McDavid was luckily undeterred, and ended up finishing the night by breaking a legendary Wayne Gretzky record.
