Since that time, Miller has apparently been contacted by droves of people via text, email and phonecall who wished to applaud his dismissal of the controversial brand. Miller took to Twitter on Tuesday evening to provide his reasoning behind the decision to basically boycott Barstool, and boy, did he ever spit some truth.
"My problem with Barstool is the history of unapologetic misogyny, racism, xenophobia, and the repeated condoning of non-consentual sex. If not wanting to associate with that makes me a part of "cancel culture", or constitutes "virtue signalling" or being "woke", I'm OK with that," he said.
Miller went on to provide the alternative definitions of each of the three popular terms, choosing to be am upstander rather than just another bystander before explaining that it's not in his nature to just stay quiet and "stay in his lane" when he believes in something.
Given how big of a platform Miller has, taking a moral stand against a popular brand like Barstool Sports is a pretty influential play. With over 240,000 Twitter followers being exposed to his message of "it's better to do right than to just ignore the wrong" is nothing if not inspirational and admirable.
