A legendary piece of the Arizona Coyotes memorabilia was rescued from a dumpster by a fan who gave it back to its rightful owner, Shane Doan.
As the Coyotes are preparing to relocate to Salt Lake City, a new video emerged, showing that the team left an important part of their history in their former Arena, the Gila River Arena: the retirement banner of Shane Doan.

Fortunately, a fan went back and retrieved it for Doan. He was even able to deliver it himself to the Coyotes' legend.

It's already a tough moment for fans of the franchise to see the team relocate to Utah. Disrespecting the team's past success and one of the best players to play for them is a really questionable move by the organization.
It'll be hard for the fans to let their team leave, but they can find comfort knowing a piece of their history should follow the team in Salt Lake City.
