Nick Jensen stretchered off the ice after massive hit

This afternoon during a game between the Washington Capitals and Tampa Bay Lightning a terrifying situation occurred. Washington Capitals defenseman Nick Jensen has been stretchered off the ice after a scary hit.

Early on in a must win game for the Washington Capitals against the Tampa Bay Lightning tragedy struck. As Capitals forward Nick Jensen was carrying a puck up the ice he was shoved into the boards by Tampa Bay Lightning forward Michael Eyssimont. Immediately upon being hit Nick Jensen fell to the ice with a scary injury.

Scary situation in DC, as Nick Jensen goes hard into the boards and hasn't got up yet. Stretcher coming out.




As a result of the hit medical personnel attended to Nick Jensen and a stretcher came out to take him off of the ice.

Prayers up to Nick Jensen, who had to be taken off the ice on a stretcher after a tough hit from Eyssimont.


As of now, there has not been an update on the condition of Nick Jensen or an injury diagnosis. Once there are updates on his health we will provide them to you. For now, we wish Nick Jensen the best and hope to see him back on the ice and recovered soon.
