Shane Wright to change teams ahead of the end of the season

The Seattle Kraken organization announced on Sunday afternoon that Shane Wright will change teams for the remaining of the season.

Wright has been playing in the AHL this year, with the Coachella Valey Firebirds, but had a short stint in the NHL, playing three games with the Kraken.

Shane Wright gets recalled from the AHL by the Seattle Kraken.

We learned that Wright, the fourth overall pick in the 2022 NHL draft, is set to join the Seattle Kraken.

"The #SeaKraken have recalled forward Shane Wright from the Coachella Valley Firebirds."

This season, with the Firebirds, he scored 43 points, including 20 goals, in 56 games. He played a huge role in the team's success this season. They're currently sitting at the top rank of their division, and clinched their playoff spot.

He will surely be sent down in the AHL for the start of the playoffs.

"Shane Wright, recalled by #SeaKraken, is one of the best young talents in the AHL.

The 2022 4th overall pick has recorded 11 PTS in 12 games this month.
