A new rumor suggests that Carter Hart could be signing a contract in Russia as the legal proceedures for the WJC scandal continue to unfold.

In early February, five hockey players were charged with s***** a****** in relation to the 2018 World Junior Championship scandal.

Controversial Flyers' goaltender Carter Hart could be signing a profesionnal contract in Russia, according to a new rumor.

We just learned from a new post on X that while nothing is concrete, Hart would be looking to sign a contract in the KHL.

However, he can't play outside the country while the trial goes on; he'd need to wait after everything ended before signing in Russia, just like Dillon Dube, Cal Foote, Michael McLeod and Alex Formenton who are in the same situation.

"He is not allowed to play outside the country while on charge & prior the trial. Thereafter though, depending on the ruling & politics surrounding the situation, I could see him playing in Russia."

Hart, Dube, Foote, McLeod and Formenton's futures in hockey are still unknown at the moment.

Make sure to stay tuned as we'll report any new development to you.

More to come.
