Jaromir Jagr May Be on the Verge of Joining an NHL Front Office

Jaromir Jagr is an NHL legend, and now, he may be bringing all of that experience and expertise to a very familiar NHL Front Office.

After an incredible run in the NHL, as well as significant time spent in Europe, it appears as though Jaromir Jagr may be on the way back to the NHL full-time. No, it's not as a player, as the 52-year old Jaromir Jagr isn't quite up to that level anymore, but instead, it could be with the Pittsburgh Penguins front office.

According to Josh Yohe of The Athletic, it's a real possibility, with the Penguins pushing hard to bring the franchise icon back full-time.

Jaromir Jagr recently had his jersey retired by the Pittsburgh Penguins after 11 incredible years with the team, where he played in 809 games, tallying 1,079 points all while helping the team to two Stanley Cup victories.

Now, the team are looking to capitalize on the good feelings of having him around, as they look to build one final Cup winner around the incredible trio of Evgeni Malkin, Kris Letang and captain Sidney Crosby. It won't be easy, as Kyle Dubas has plenty of work to do this summer, but given his knowledge of the game and sheer presence, Jagr could help this franchise in a big way.

As Yohe mentions, it's not clear what position the Penguins would look to offer Jagr, but with all of his experience, simply having him around would be a great deal, similar to the way the Calgary Flames have brought back Jarome Iginla to the franchise that made him famous.

Ultimately, this is a team that's got plenty of potential still, and if Jagr can join the team and bring any type of presence, advice and experience to the front office, it's a move you make, but at this point, it's not quite clear where his future lays.
