Currently playing in an arena that holds just 5,000 fans, the Arizona Coyotes are looking for land in Phoenix to develop a real NHL stadium, and now we know when that fate will be confirmed.

Coyotes bid for land in Phoenix to be reviewed this week

According to a report, after several failed bids to secure land for a new arena, Owner Alex Meruelo will have another bid reviewed on March 14th by state authorities.

The Coyotes' (Miracle Development) pursuit of land in NE Phoenix is officially on the Arizona State Land Department Board of Appeals' final agenda for March 14.l

Gary Bettman has remained intent on keeping the Coyotes in Arizona, but after those failed bids, the optimism around the organization in Phoenix has certainly died down around the NHL.

The application from Meruelo is for 95 acres of land in North East Phoenix, and if the board approve of the bid, the Coyotes will remain in Arizona, but if not, it would not shock anyone to see the NHL relocate the team, with cities such as Houston, Salt Lake City, Quebec City and Atlanta all making pushes for an NHL team.

JUST IN Arizona Coyotes' application for 95 acres of state land for new arena will be taken up Thursday by Arizona Land Department Board of Appeals. Board could approve land auction.

As Read on Habs Fanatics - Bettman and the NHL will finally have an answer this week on the Coyotes relocation plans according to all indications
