BREAKING: Kraken First-Round Pick Scratched for Trade-Related Reasons

The Seattle Kraken find themselves on the outside of the Wild Card race in the Western Conference this season, and with nine points the difference between themselves and a playoff spot, they now appear ready to be sellers.

With the trade deadline just four days away, Head Coach Dave Hakstol has now revealed that forward Alex Wennberg has been scratched for what he deemed as 'trade related reasons'.

The 29-year old hasn't been at his best in 2023-24, but has still tallied a solid 9 goals and 25 points in 60 games played thus far, and with his reliability on both ends of the ice, he's a valuable commodity at the deadline.

It's unclear yet just which team finds themselves as top suitor for Wennberg, but with many contenders looking to add depth and experience to their bottom-six, he'll draw plenty of attention over the next few days.
