BREAKING: NHL Makes Official Suspension Decision on Matt Rempe After Hit Last Night

Matt Rempe has been an absolute force to be reckoned with since joining the NHL a few weeks ago, but now, he faces calls for suspension from many fans, particularly those of the Toronto Maple Leafs.

During their latest game against the Toronto Maple Leafs, Rempe took down newly acquired defenseman Ilya Lyubushkin, with many fans believing the play deserved some type of punishment.

Now however, the time has come and gone for the NHL Department of Player Safety to make a decision on the Rangers rising star, meaning that no disciplinary action will be taken against him.

Rempe has brought back the physical style of hockey that the NHL has been lacking in recent years, so while he's avoided punishment (and rightfully so) here, don't think this is the last time the DoPS will have their eyes on him.
