Vancouver Canucks Make Diversity History Last Night

In last night's game between the Avalanche and the Canucks, rookie Arshdeep Bains played his first NHL game and made history.

Arshdeep Bains became the fourth Punjabi player in the history of the NHL.

Last night Arshdeep Bains made his NHL debut and officially became the 4th Punjabi player in NHL history.

Bains, 23 years-old, is undrafted and signed a contract with his hometown Canucks last summer.

In 42 games with the Abbotsford Canucks in the AHL, he tallied an impressive 39 points.

He's yet to score his first NHL point, but with the way he played, it shouldn't take long before he gets his name on the scoresheet.
