While nothing was confirmed, there were major talks that the Pittsburgh Penguins were ready to move on from Jake Guentzel ahead of the trade deadline, but now a major injury has potentially thrown those plans out the window.

In the Penguins latest loss to the Florida Panthers, Jake Guentzel missed the final 12 minutes, leading to speculation that the star forward could be dealing with an injury.

Now, TSN's Chris Johnston has confirmed the worst for the veteran, revealing that he will be out for 'up to' four weeks with an injury.

This is tough news for a player that's dealt with his fair share of injuries, and with the news, it will be something to keep an eye on as the Penguins may be forced to adjust their trade deadline plans.
