Michkov to be Healthy Scratched For Upcoming Game

Matvei Michkov is a promising young prospect from Russia who was drafted by the Philadelphia Flyers last year in the first round, 7th overall. He is currently developing his game in the KHL, however, things have appeared to take a turn for the worse. Michkov has reportedly been scratched following a bout of bad play.





This is following a terrible game by Michkov where he was -4 and benched for the entirety of the third period.



We will see if Michkov can bounce back from this. He currently has 14 goals and 19 assists for 33 points in 38 games with HK Sochi of the KHL. Flyers fans are hopeful that this is a lesson to be learned for the young prospect, and that it will ultimately help his development.
