The Washington Capitals made a major announcement a few minutes ago.
Capitals Place Oshie on IR
The Capitals have officially placed T.J. Oshie on the Injury Reserve.
They've called up Ivan Miroshnichenko and Hendrix Lapierre from the Hershey Bears, in the AHL.
"TJ Oshie has been placed on Washington's injured reserve.
The Capitals have in turn called up forwards Ivan Miroshnichenko and Hendrix Lapierre from the AHL."
Like many other players in Washington, he's been struggling offensively. In 21 games this season, Oshie scored 4 points, including 2 goals.
