The Carolina Hurricanes have brought in a new goalie who could potentially play while Antti Raanta is in the AHL.

It was just announced that the Carolina Hurricanes have added goaltender Aaron Dell to their roster on a PTO.

Dell is a 34-year-old goaltender who has played in 130 career NHL games, mostly with the San Jose Sharks. He played in 4 games in 2022-23 and has not played an NHL game yet this season.

This is the second goaltender that Carolina has brought in this season on a PTO. Earlier they brought in Jaroslav Halak on a PTO but released him without offering him a contract.
