Former NHL Player Gene Carr Passes Away At Age of 72
It is always heartbreaking to hear of former NHL players passing away, and today is no different. The NHL Alumni Association announced today the passing of former 4th overall pick Gene Carr at the age of 72. Carr played 8 seasons in the NHL in the 70s.

Carr played 465 regular season games in the NHL, recording 25 points. He played for the Blues, Rangers, Kings, Penguins, and Atlanta Flames.
Thoughts With the Carr Family During this Time
Carr was well known for his personality and his love for his teammates, along with his long blond hair. His circle of friends extended beyond the arena, even making friends with the famous rock band the Eagles.
