Today rumors have begun swirling that one of the top defensemen still available on the free-agent market could be signed in the coming days.

Eastern Conference Team Amongst Suitors For Young Defenseman

News of 26-year-old free agent defenseman Ethan Bear potentially finding a home has started to heat up. Bear remains unsigned similar to the Patrick Kane situation due to injury. Now that he is ramping up his recovery teams have begun calling according to one insider.

Chris Johnston on Insider Trading says the Capitals are keenly interested in Ethan Bear, they're a team to watch, the Canucks, Leafs, Devils and Penguins have shown interest as well.

One team in the Eastern Conference has been hoping Bear would sign with them before news of his bidding war came out.
