MAJOR: Tyson Barrie Pursuing Trade Out of Nashville

Tyson Barrie, one of the Predators' top defensemen, is reportedly on the trade block and is currently in talks with other teams.

Insider Elliotte Friedman dropped some major news this morning regarding the future of defenseman Tyson Barrie.

Barrie is currently in the final year of his contract and could be used as a solid rental for many teams looking to compete in the playoffs.

Barrie is mainly known as a powerplay specialist from the blueline. He has scored 25+ powerplay points in a season multiple times and even has a season with over 30 powerplay points.

While he may not be the best defensively, he is able to hold his own better than other powerplay specialists like John Klingberg or Tony DeAngelo. If a team is able to find a spot for Barrie on their top powerplay unit, he could prove to be invaluable in a deep playoff run.
