Perry Placed On Waivers By Blackhawks With Intent of Terminating Contract
The Chicago Blackhawks have announced today that Corey Perry will be placed on Waivers with the intent of terminating his contract, according to Elliotte Friedman.

This comes after Perry has missed the last several weeks amid rumours and speculation of personal matters. The Blackhawks have released the following statement regarding the termination.
After an internal investigation, the Chicago Blackhawks have determined that Corey Perry has engaged in conduct that is unacceptable, and in violation of both the terms of his Standard Player's Contract and the Blackhawks' internal policies intended to promote professional and safe work environments. As such, Corey Perry has been placed on unconditional waivers. In the event Mr. Perry clears waivers, we intend to terminate his contract effective immediately.
Perry will likely be done for the year in the NHL, and there will likely be no further explanation of his conduct. We will monitor the situation and update when more information becomes available.
