The Vancouver Canucks are still in what many considered to be a rebuilding phase. With their recent success rumors have started that the Canucks will be buyers and their captain has the perfect acquisition in mind.
Hughes Demands Management To Take A Shot At Getting Star Defenseman
Recently rumors have begun to fly surrounding the Vancouver Canucks. According to these rumblings, Quinn Hughes has let management know if they are buying he wants a specific player.
This would give the electric Hughes who is in conversations for the Norris Trophy a trusted partner to play with. With Hughes' request in mind the reports also looked at the logistics of acquiring Tanev.
Tanev Reportedly Open To A Reunion
Recently a source close to the situation has discussed the idea of Vancouver trading for defensemen. Today was Chris Tanev's turn and the insight is a positive sign for Canucks fans.
Since leaving the Canucks a few seasons ago Canucks fans have been clamoring for a Tanev return.
Tanev has also commented on Quinn Hughes and was very complimentary of his former teammate.
That future is now and it would be a very full circle moment if one of the players who saw the potential in Quinn long ago was there to help him succeed. As the weeks go on and the rumors mount expect the Canucks to be in on Tanev.
