As reported by Elliotte Friedman, The Boston Bruins have placed defenseman Ian Mitchell on waivers today. Mitchell played in two games this season with the Bruins, against the Anaheim Ducks and LA Kings. He recorded one assist and a plus-one rating while tacking on 4 penalty minutes.

Mitchell played 35 games last season with the Chicago Blackhawks. The Bruins will now wait to see if the defenseman is claimed.
