According to NHL writer David Pagnotta, an all-Canadian division is “a leading option right now”.

Pagnotta also mentioned that nothing is set in stone yet, but it appears extremely likely to happen, especially given the fact that the Toronto Raptors were denied their request to play home games in Toronto for the upcoming 2020-21 NBA season. As a result, the Raptors will begin the season playing in Tampa Bay.

An all-Canadian division is a very exciting idea for hockey fans given the fact that the most of the Canadian teams have highly competitive rosters. The two that may struggle a bit would be the Montreal Canadiens and Ottawa Senators, though both teams are improving and would by no means be easy opponents. As mentioned above, this division isn't official, but given travel restrictions due to COVID-19 it makes a ton of sense.
