This Canadiens forward has recently warned Ryan Reaves that a rematch is coming his way.
Canadiens Forward Makes It Known He Wants Rematch with Ryan Reaves
The new look Toronto Maple Leafs are a lot tougher through their lineups than in previous years. This is noted especially by the signing of Ryan Reaves, who is a tough forward who's not afraid to throw his hands when he has too.
Reaves's signing in Toronto was a move welcomed by Canadiens forward Michael Pezzetta, who challenged Reaves in 2021. Their first bout wasn't much of a success for Pezzetta.
Pezzetta Shares Fighting Words in Recent Interview
Pezzetta shared his excitement that Reaves signed with Toronto in a recent interview, where he mentions it makes it more likely the two will have a rematch.
"When I heard Reaves was signing with Toronto, I was excited. I'm someone who likes to play hard, so when there are guys like him on the other side, it makes things more interesting."
"You never know. Maybe I'll get another chance to fight him, and this time it'll be better." - Michael Pezzetta
Pezzetta isn't worried about the beating he took from Reaves in their first match, and was just excited to be involved at center ice in Madison Square Garden.
"I don't know about you, but I was at center ice at Madison Square Garden, I'd gotten my first point two games earlier and my first goal the game before that. So that fight with him, for me, was a lot of fun." - Michael Pezzetta
If Pezzetta can stay in the lineup, which will be a task for him, we could see the two square off in their rematch.
