For some reason, the Anaheim Ducks are yet to extend Trevor Zegras after the rising star has given them back-to-back highlight worthy campaigns, and now, it could be the end of his time in Orange County.
Trade incoming?
Yesterday, it was revealed that the Ducks latest offer to Zegras was between $3M and $4M per season, and given the talent and production he's shown over the past three years, that's an embarrassingly low offer.
Now, there's no clear direction for these two parties to come together on a deal before the season begins, and in another twist, it appears that Zegras has made a statement on his social media.
No signs of the Ducks anywhere?
While most players represent their team through their Instagram bio, when they delete it, it becomes a massive story, and on Thursday, Zegras did exactly that with the Ducks.
It's not clear yet whether he's still open to an extension in Anaheim, but with this latest activity and that offer, absolutely no one could blame him if he demands a trade in the near future.
