Connor Bedard played his first game with the Blackhawks this evening and scored a hattrick in the process.

Bedard Nets Three Goals: Shows The NHL He Is Ready For A Better Challenge

Connor Bedard played his first game with the Chicago Blackhawks tonight facing off against the St. Louis Blues in a prospect tournament.

There were many notable names in attendance including Zach Bolduc, Zach Dean, Kevin Korchinski, and Bedard. These tournaments help NHL teams get a gauge for where their best prospects are compared to the best prospects of other teams.

Bedard proved he is head and shoulders above the rest of the prospects in the NHL scoring three goals in his first game.

His first came on the powerplay where he got the puck right in the slot and picked a corner on the goalie.

This wasn't where he ended though as he notched on a second goal just a bit later from an impossible angle.

This second angle of this goal really puts it into perspective how little net Bedard had.

His final goal came just by dancing through the defense and shooting right on the net and the goalie not being able to beat Bedard.

This will certainly not be the end of Bedard's goals with the Blackhawks as he is set to lace up with the Blackhawks in his first game. While this competition is not NHL level, it is well above WHL level and Bedard proved that he is ready for this next step.
