BREAKING: Sheldon Keefe Extended Long-Term in Toronto

With new GM Brad Treliving ushering a new era for the Maple Leafs, there was much uncertainty regarding how he would structure his coaching staff.

The Leafs have just announced that they have signed Sheldon Keefe to a multi-year contract extension.

The signing comes after the Leafs had completely re-structured their bench staff after the departure of Kyle Dubas. There was much skepticism as to whether or not Keefe would also be ushered out of Toronto.

It appears now that Treliving and the Leafs executives have complete faith in Keefe to lead the team to playoff success.
