It was just announced that the Colorado Avalanche have signed Joel Kiviranta to a PTO.

 

Kiviranta is coming off an 8-goal 9-point campaign, Kiviranta seemingly underperformed but could have a new level not seen yet.

Valeri Nichuskin was another former Star who was mismanaged but once he came to Colorado, he exploded offensively and realized his full potential. If Kiviranta can realize his full potential like Nichuskin, the Avalanche may have a top-six player on their hands.
