After a solid career in the NHL spanning stints with Montreal, Arizona, Toronto and Colorado, Alex Galchenyuk has now officially found his next team.
Off-season drama
Many thought he'd found his new team when he signed with the Arizona Coyotes, but after a dramatic incident involving the police, he was quickly released.
Unlikely to find a spot in the NHL, rumours began swirling of him heading overseas, and now, it has been officially confirmed where he will play next.
The KHL
On Friday, it was announced that Galchenyuk has landed a two-year deal with SKA in the KHL, and at 29-years old with 654 games of NHL experience, he could thrive in Russia.

While his NHL future looks grim, Galchenyuk has plenty of time to turn his life around on and off the ice, and if he can be successful in the KHL, who knows if he will be back on an NHL roster one day.
Will we see Galchenyuk back in the NHL one day?
