Kevin Hayes Writes A Moving Tribute To His Brother Jimmy

Kevin Hayes and his brother Jimmy were one of the many sibling duos to have success in the NHL. After being both selected in the NHL Draft by the Chicago Blackhawks the pair would both go on to have good NHL careers.

Unfortunately, before the start of the 2021-22 offseason Jimmy passed away. Now Kevin is speaking out about his brother and the grief he has felt since Jimmy passed.

On Wednesday an article was published in The Players' Tribune by Kevin Hayes called For My Brother, the Immortal Jimmy Hayes.

He talks about many stories of him and Jimmy growing up together. From road trips with the family to playing at Boston College together. Kevin and Jimmy had about as close a bond as you can as siblings. Kevin also goes on to say that they are going to make Jimmy immortal by keeping his memory alive and never giving up on talking about him.

Kevin continues by talking about how he and his family will never stop telling Jimmy's stories and keeping his memory alive

Hayes then goes on to talk about the tragic circumstances of his brother's passing. Kevin talks about the overdose that took his brother's life and how it can happen to anyone.
